ArcFlow awarded TÜV (German Technical Control Board) Certification: Guaranteed Audit-Compliant Archiving System

The producers of the ArcFlow document management system (DMS) have been awarded the TÜV’s “tested archiving system” certificate for their product. This means that ArcFlow fulfills all the demands placed on an audit-compliant document and e-mail archiving system. TÜV certification requires comprehensive and intensive system testing upfront. The DMS being tested is not awarded the TÜV approval stamp unless it fulfills all the requirements in a long list of specifications.

Legal requirements stipulate that companies have to provide safe storage for their commercial documents for a period of between six to ten years. During the certification process, TÜV experts check whether the DMS fully fulfills all the legal requirements. This means that the suppliers have to prove that their system can be supplied and/or operated safely on a long-term basis and that the archival process design meets the customer’s needs. Apart from checking audit-compliance, the TÜV specialists also examine how a document arrives in the archive, archival usage as well as existing superordinated rules and regulations.
