The automatically-controlled OCR software (OCR – Optical Character Recognition), for example, recognises scanned documents as well as digital image files and records their textual content in the ArcFlow index. ArcFlow also fully automatically records the content of Office documents and e-mails in the index. This means that all recorded data can be quickly and easily found immediately upon import into the document management system – with ArcFlow’s search function providing extremely fast results. The search results are available within fractions of a second – with automatic highlighting of the respective hits within the document.

Extensive Search Options

Fast search results, however, are not the only strength of the ArcFlow search function. The search function is as simply designed and easy to use as any internet search engine. On the other hand, the available options are so comprehensive that you can plan your search in minute detail. For example, there is an option to search for documents in previously selected folders, with specific file types and within a defined period of time. The resulting data can then be used as a basis for further refining the search using other criteria.
